How To Get Lifting Belts in Hong Kong?

Lifting belts can help athletes brace better and secure their posterior chain to a certain degree. Many powerlifters and strongman athletes cannot train without a proper lifting belt. Belts are known to be quite pricey, but if you get a good one, they should last you a lifetime! If you are wondering where you can get quality belts in Hong Kong, continue reading.

SBD Belt

The classic SBD belt worn by powerlifters and strongman alike!

Website: https://sbdhk.shoplineapp.com/

Price: $1980 HKD

Instagram: @sbdhongkong

This might be the most recognizable belt at the gym as we see powerlifters and strongman alike sport the SBD belt. SBD belt is easy to acquire as there is a Hong Kong online shop that ships almost instantly (if they are not out of stock). The SBD belt is slightly softer than the Inzer ones but the buckle is less flat. Which may cause discomfort during squats for those who bring the thighs close to their chest to hit depth.

Inzer Forever Belt

The belt that is marketed to last forever!

US website: https://inzernet.com/

Price: $130 USD

This is a belt I personally own and love. The belt is stiff and requires breaking in but your brace feels very supported as a reward. I did bruise my belly using this belt. As their buckle is less bulky, my thighs do not touch the belt at all during a deep squat session. The shipping may take longer if you order custom colors. I recommend getting the black belt as they always arrive sooner.

Rogue Ohio Lifting Belt

The Ohio Leather belts by Rogue.

Website: https://www.roguefitness.com/rogue-ohio-lifting-belt

Price: $130 USD

If you are a fan of softer belts, you will love Rogue’s leather belts. They are secure and do not bruise your abdominals like SBD or Inzer. Rogue ships internationally but you would need to pay extra for the shipping cost! Another thing to take note of is that they do not pay the extra customs fee, so it might be pricier than just $130 USD.

Alternatives to the Official Stores:

We understand that ordering from the official stores means having a longer wait time. This might not be the case for SBD as they have stock in Hong Kong, but we still prepared another article for you to source belts from other stores. In that article, we recommend reputable resellers and even Taobao merchants! For those who support the environment, you may also check out Carousell.

Not Recommended: Heavy Wear From BC Shop

Belts can help your lifts tremendously if they are thick enough to provide support. However, Heavy Wear belts are thin, too soft and you cannot wear them to competitions such as USAPL. I personally think the Rogue belt is a better upgrade.

Not Recommended: Velcro Belts From Decathlon

Velcro belts are sold in Decathlon. For those familiar with Eddie Hall’s deadlift, you must had seen the video where his Velcro belt snapped off his body. If you do not feel safe lifting, you will have bad form and hinder your progression in the long run. I support you getting a stronger belt for powerlifting and strongman as an investment to your journey.

Final Thought

Some people say a good belt can increase your lifting load by 10-20%. I fully agree to that as I am now happily lifting 20 kg more in my squats and deadlift with my Inzer Belt. However, it is still important to learn how to brace properly and execute the correct technique while performing a lift! Hope you get a belt that fits your needs and can help you lift better, safer and happier!
